GlintEV privacy policy.

1. Information we collect

GlintEV may collect account details such as name, email address, password hash, login sessions, support messages, and billing or plan information. We also collect the home-site configuration needed to run charging control, including time zone, energy source type, local device address, charger details, vehicle details, charge policy, and controller-agent status.

When a user connects vehicles, chargers, energy systems, or provider accounts, GlintEV may store credentials, access tokens, refresh tokens, device identifiers, configuration values, and telemetry returned by those systems. Examples include solar watts, charger current, command targets, vehicle state of charge, charge limit, command results, and error messages.

2. How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts, load controller configuration, run charging policies, send vehicle or charger commands, show dashboard status, maintain event history, troubleshoot integrations, communicate with users, improve the service, and support billing or plan administration.

3. Local controller data

The local controller may read devices on the user’s home network and send summarized readings and command results to GlintEV. Local IP addresses, device paths, and credentials are used to reach the hardware configured by the user. Users are responsible for running the controller only on networks and equipment they are authorized to manage.

4. Sharing and third parties

GlintEV does not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that help operate the service, including hosting, security, analytics, communications, payment processing, and support tools. We may also send information to vehicle, charger, inverter, battery, or energy-platform providers when required to authenticate, read device state, or send commands selected by the user.

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect the service, to investigate misuse, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

5. Security

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate for a connected-home energy service, including encrypted transport for web and API traffic, hashed website passwords, access controls, and limited collection where possible. No internet-connected system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, and users should protect their account password, provider credentials, local controller device, and home network.

6. Retention and deletion

We keep account, configuration, event, and telemetry records for as long as needed to operate GlintEV, maintain history, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and improve reliability. Users may remove vehicles, chargers, energy sources, provider connections, and controller agents from the dashboard. Account deletion requests can be sent to GlintEV support.

7. User choices

Users can update dashboard configuration, revoke provider access where supported by the provider, stop the local controller, or delete configured devices. Some information is required for the service to function; removing it may disable solar readings, vehicle commands, charger control, or dashboard status.

8. Access, correction, and complaints

Users may request access to personal information, ask for corrections, or raise a privacy concern by contacting GlintEV support. We will respond in a reasonable manner consistent with applicable privacy laws.

9. Children

GlintEV is intended for adults who own, rent, operate, or administer supported home-energy and EV charging equipment. It is not intended for children.

10. Changes

We may update this policy as the product, integrations, or legal requirements change. The effective date will be updated when the policy changes materially.
